Note: This answer has been clarified from the previous #FAQ-25-003
Yes, in certain limited situations. SMU was added to the priority list in 25.G.3 and 25.L.6.b.vii behind CMU and ahead of M/U. MUS, MUV, and AFB.
When does priority apply?
CBA 2015:
Any time there is a delay in processing a trip trade, a queue may build for a specific trip. The trip is awarded by timestamp among PMU submissions, then by timestamp among PNP, then all other requests made that are specific to the trip in timestamp order. (25.L.6.a, 25.L.4.b, 25.L.5.a)
The TA:
The addition of real time trip trading will have an effect on trip trades from what we are used to seeing. Only during certain times will there be a queue. Those times are the first 12 hours of Open Time release, and 0700-0800 LBT daily. All other times of the day, trip trades are to be processed immediately and automatically (fastest finger wins).
Trip specific requests:
During the times of the day a queue is allowed (0700-0800 daily, first 12 hours), a trip first appearing in open time will have a maximum 5 minute wait from the time it appears in open time before processing requests for that trip. This allows for PMU and PNP to retain their value. PMU requests will be processed immediately. All other requests for that trip will be processed after the 5 minutes has expired; PNP and then remaining requests will be awarded in timestamp order. There is no priority for SMU in this situation.
After the 5 minutes has expired, if there were no BLA requests for the trip, the next BLA for that specific trip will be processed immediately and automatically (fastest finger wins).
Timing of your request matters. Requests entered prior to 0900 the day prior to the trip are honored as above. Submissions on the applicable day entered at 0900 LBT, or later, may be processed at the Company's discretion.
General make up requests:
General make up request process will remain unchanged. The only difference is SMU has been added to the priority order in 25.L.6.b.vii, placing it behind CMU and above M/U, MUS, MUV, and AFB. Once inside the Assignment window, General Make Up requests follow the assignment order provided in 25.G.3., again placing SMU behind CMU and ahead of M/U, MUS, MUV, and AFB. In both instances, the general make up request will be processed and the trip awarded if it meets the request's requirements (e.g., no west coast, back end DH, etc.) and there is no higher priority request.

Note:
“Immediately and Automatically” means as fast as the servers can handle the request volume and without any human intervention. Times of heavy usage and high server demand may delay the processing of a request, only for as long as it takes the servers to keep up with demand.
